Overview
This role involves ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for both staff and clients within the agency premises in Buffalo, NY. The position requires hands-on upkeep of the facility, assisting in various physical tasks, and attending required training sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties such as vacuuming, emptying waste and recycling bins, dusting, cleaning restrooms, washing floors and windows, and removing garbage regularly.
- Maintain stock and refill soap, toilet paper, and paper towel dispensers appropriately.
- Prepare conference rooms for meetings, including accommodating special requests.
- Assist with relocating office furniture when needed.
- Replace light bulbs and maintain fixtures as required.
- Clear outdoor areas by removing leaves, snow, ice, and other debris on demand.
- Conduct minor repairs involving walls, floors, doors, ceilings, and plumbing fixtures.
- Request replenishment of cleaning supplies when necessary.
- Participate in agency training, staff meetings, and other mandated activities.
- Contribute to sustaining a tidy and hazard-free workspace.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting furniture and standing or bending for long periods.
- Basic computer skills necessary, including familiarity with Excel, databases, word processing, and network systems.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination is mandatory.
Work Environment and Schedule
This is a full-time, office-based position working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, totaling 37.5 to 40 hours per week. Physical activities include prolonged standing, bending, reaching, pushing, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
