Role Overview

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will work closely with the Maintenance Manager and hotel team to ensure smooth behind-the-scenes operations. Your responsibilities will include managing daily and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining high operational standards to provide a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Key Duties

• Perform regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs
• Create and allocate weekly maintenance schedules and testing tasks based on workload forecasts
• Supervise maintenance operations, emphasizing sustainable and eco-friendly practices
• Lead and train maintenance personnel
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of repairs and cleaning
• Manage inventory and equipment storage
• Adhere to health and safety regulations on-site
• Carry out preventative maintenance and follow-up on repair work
• Conduct scheduled safety inspections
• Develop strategies to complete workload demands promptly
• Repair faults and maintain equipment, plumbing, furniture, and lighting
• Handle general tasks such as connecting equipment, installing locks and hinges
• Maintain accurate control of workspaces and equipment
• Prepare orders and manage stocktaking
• Cover shifts for Maintenance Technicians when necessary

Candidate Profile

• Completed vocational training in relevant trades such as Electrical, Plumbing, or Building Services
• Preferably 2-3 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician, Electrician, or comparable role
• Fluency in both German and English; additional languages are advantageous
• Strong technical know-how paired with effective problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to work varying shifts and flexible hours
• Proficient with minor repairs and general maintenance
• Team-oriented, yet able to work independently
• Values authenticity in the workplace
