Job description
Role Overview
Join our team at Longford Forest as a Maintenance Operative, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and safeguarding guest accommodation and facilities by performing timely repairs and upkeep tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently
- Conduct general maintenance and scheduled preventative repairs
- Document incomplete tasks and flag potential problems for future attention
- Ensure all work complies with required health and safety standards
Working Hours and Conditions
- Full-time role with flexible scheduling
- Contract guarantees a minimum of 150 working hours over each 4-week cycle; additional hours may be required based on operational needs
- Shift pattern includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Free transport options are provided for colleagues residing in Ballymahon and Longford Town without personal transport
- Extra pay applies for hours worked on Sundays

Candidate Profile
- Holds or is willing to obtain certifications such as ISRM, PAT Testing C&G 2377, or a relevant NVQ qualification
- Possesses a valid driving license held for at least six months
- Demonstrates hands-on experience and practical skills with general maintenance tasks
- Shows excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills
