Loss Prevention Manager

Overview

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Loss Prevention Manager to oversee security operations at their property in Singapore. The role involves ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, hotel assets, and premises while participating actively in emergency response efforts, including fire emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the security team, overseeing performance, responsibilities, and ongoing training.
• Develop, implement, and enforce departmental standards and policies, including disciplinary and staffing actions, in alignment with company guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with local community leaders and stakeholders to foster goodwill.
• Ensure compliance with policies and security protocols by security personnel and hotel staff.
• Prepare detailed security plans for events involving VIPs, high-profile guests, government officials, owners, and royalty.
• Collaborate with the Finance department to manage labor costs and departmental expenses.
• Coordinate daily operations of the security department, including scheduling and workflow organization to maintain effective coverage.
• Oversee maintenance and readiness of security equipment by scheduling repairs and preventative upkeep.
• Proactively identify and address hazardous situations, escalating concerns to supervisors.
• Work with local investigators on crime and accident investigations on property.
• Liaise with external agencies and emergency services concerning security and safety matters.
• Maintain confidential documentation and reporting systems to support investigations and litigation requirements.
• Ensure the Fire Command Centre is continuously staffed and respond promptly to alarms, medical emergencies, fire incidents, and related situations.
• Maintain an intimate knowledge of property layout, access points, and emergency routes to guide guests effectively.
• Lead emergency drills and evacuations, coordinating with emergency services as necessary.
• Remain knowledgeable about the hotel's fire emergency protocols, including locations of fire alarms and firefighting equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of fire safety systems—fire panels, hose reels, barriers, exit doors—to ensure functionality and readiness.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possession of a valid PLRD license with appropriate employment grading is mandatory.
• At least a Diploma qualification complemented by a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar security role within the hotel industry.
• Certified in First Aid, including CPR and AED training.
