About Expeditors

Key Responsibilities
- Enhance and deepen relationships with existing house accounts, extending connections across organizational levels beyond the primary contact.
- Comprehend customers’ business models and strategies to align Expeditors’ role effectively.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent follow-up and communication of service concerns to department leaders.
- Maintain and update action item lists weekly for tracking and follow-up purposes.
- Identify and cultivate growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Make at least 10 client calls weekly, with a schedule set by Monday afternoon; calls primarily from Tuesday to Thursday, while Mondays and Fridays focus on setup and follow-ups.
- Support collection efforts as required.
- Manage detailed client profiles organized by location and produce monthly territory maps indicating account distribution across cities.
- Input and manage significant calls through Teamsell system.
- Stay proficient with EI systems and provide technical updates and demos to local account management clients.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams as needed and share weekly schedules with all departments to coordinate joint visits.
- Transfer major business leads and proposals to sales, and operational matters to operations teams.
- Lead and manage Business Reviews with the goal of at least one per account annually.
- Continually pursue process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Take primary responsibility for the smooth operation of all local branch services and aid in resolving broader issues.
- Ensure agreed invoicing and payment procedures are functional and maintained.
- Maintain updated customer information and satisfaction through local meetings.
- Commit to Expeditors’ success with ethical conduct, dedication, passion, and attention to operational details.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in account management.
- At least 2 years of experience within Expeditors or the logistics industry.
- Ability to clearly document customer requirements for internal use.
- Proficiency with Expeditors' operating platforms and standard computer applications, including word processing.
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Completion of Level One Account Management certification and Level One Sales certification.
