Licensed Engineer - Rotary Wing

About the Role

This position is responsible for ensuring aircraft are maintained to the required standard and that any defects are corrected quickly, in line with direction from the Senior Manager Maintenance-Rotary. The role also includes carrying out flying duties assigned to the aircraft and supervising the maintenance team under direct control so aircraft can depart safely and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the tasks and resources assigned for the work plan.
• Keep the Senior Manager Maintenance-Rotary informed about completed work and alert them to any possible disruption in service.
• Set task priorities and make sure the assigned team works efficiently.
• Ensure all maintenance records, sign-offs, and certifications are completed accurately.
• Prepare and submit technical reports as required.
• Carry out flying duties in the capacity of Operating Engineer.
• Brief and debrief the relevant staff so defects are properly identified and recorded.
• Act as the organization’s representative on site during subcontracted layovers.
• Handle special projects when assigned.
• Assist the Senior Manager Maintenance-Rotary with their responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, or an equivalent technical apprenticeship, or a Part 66 License.
• At least 5 years of experience as an LAE (B1, B2, or both).
• A valid Helicopter Maintenance Engineering License.
• Strong understanding of helicopter aviation operations and maintenance.
• Very good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to reach sound decisions quickly in high-pressure situations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Comfortable managing several priorities in a demanding operational setting.
