About the Role
Mercor is a company that links top creative and technical specialists with leading AI research organizations. Based in San Francisco, our investors include Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.
This opportunity is for a contract Legal Expert position, fully remote, offering up to $90 hourly. The role requires a commitment of 10 to 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and contrast AI-generated answers to complex legal questions.
- Examine the reasoning employed by the AI models to ensure evaluations accurately reflect authentic legal principles.
- Provide clear explanations why one AI output is superior to another, emphasizing legal correctness and client suitability.
- Deliver written feedback intended to enhance the AI models’ behavior.
- Take part in onboarding activities and specialized calibration sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a law degree such as J.D., LL.B., LL.M., or an equivalent credential.
- Have over two years of professional legal experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal research and drafting.
- Excellent written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
