Role Overview
The Lean Improvement Specialist role involves leading continuous improvement efforts throughout the logistics and supply chain operations. This position emphasizes fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement, utilizing data to eliminate inefficiencies, and implementing scalable robust processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and map existing operational workflows using data and on-site observations to identify ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Lead Lean improvement projects across logistics, warehousing, sorting, and transportation based on established Lean principles.
- Create and track operational KPIs that measure financial and functional impact of implemented improvements.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures and operational policies, to ensure sustained improvements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to manage change effectively and guarantee smooth deployment of new processes.
- Continuously explore and adopt emerging technologies and innovative approaches to enhance logistics operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is preferred.
- Familiarity with logistics, supply chain management, manufacturing, Lean production, or process improvement is advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies to address operational challenges.
- Advanced analytical skills to gather, interpret, and evaluate operational data for project measurement.
- Experienced in managing projects from initiation through execution.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, teamwork skills, and capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
