Roles and Responsibilities
- Mount, build, and cable Intel and AMD servers and configure them as required.
- Install and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking devices, including cabling and setup.
- Conduct troubleshooting, testing, and quality assurance for server hardware components.
- Resolve hardware issues professionally through trouble tickets.
- Configure and manage operating systems including Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.
- Understand detailed cabling concepts beyond basic organization, including port mapping and cable type distinctions.
- Apply logical methods to diagnose and repair hardware problems.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, learning quickly and multitasking.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Familiarity with RAID configurations.
- Experience installing web servers and databases.
Technical Knowledge
- Basic computer hardware asset management.
- Network equipment cabling and deployment experience, especially with Cisco Layer 2 technologies.
