Located in the scenic town of Port Douglas, Queensland, just one hour north of Cairns, our resort features a variety of accommodations such as studios, multi-bedroom apartments, and a beach front private villa. Role Purpose

As a Kitchen Steward, you play a crucial role in keeping our kitchen spotless and operational. You will focus on maintaining the cleanliness of dishware, utensils, and kitchen surfaces, strictly following hygiene protocols. Collaborating with the kitchen team, your efforts ensure outstanding dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high hygiene standards in cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen tools using commercial dishwashers and manual washing.
• Manage waste disposal, sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Sanitize surfaces by applying chemicals in the correct order for effective disinfection.
• Support kitchen operations by assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in kitchen duties or cleaning is an advantage.
• Possess a positive, proactive attitude with motivation to perform well.
• Enjoy working within diverse teams in fast-paced settings.
• Flexible to work various shifts including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
