Role overview

This position focuses on growing Reliance New Energy’s Power Business in the commercial and industrial solar space. Based in Navi Mumbai, the role combines account ownership, new client acquisition, solution selling, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to deliver solar offerings tailored to customer needs.

What you will do

  • Act as the main contact for assigned customers, building durable relationships and handling questions, concerns, and escalations with quick follow-through.
  • Identify and convert new opportunities in the commercial and industrial segment using market knowledge and sector insights.
  • Create outreach plans and campaign ideas to bring in new customers and widen market presence.
  • Work with customers to assess energy requirements and shape solutions that fit their goals and spending plans.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to design practical and optimized solar solutions.
  • Advise clients on solar and renewable energy adoption, sustainability benefits, and environmental impact.
  • Build a strong understanding of renewable energy regulations and guide customers through permitting, interconnection, and compliance steps.
  • Support discussions around Open Access and Captive models, which are preferred knowledge areas for this role.
  • Partner with legal and finance teams to structure, negotiate, and execute PPAs that match the client’s operational and financial needs.
  • Help manage PPA rollout, including contract closure, metering setup, monitoring, and reporting.

What we are looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering; a master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in key account management.
  • A strong background in sales, business development, or account management, ideally in solar energy or the wider renewable energy sector.
  • Solid understanding of commercial and industrial energy markets and current industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities with the confidence to influence stakeholders at different levels.
