Junior Designer

About the Position

We are looking for a talented Junior Designer to join our innovative team at Now We Collide, a forward-thinking creative and digital agency based in Sydney. This role offers the chance to contribute to a variety of digital projects including campaigns, video production, UI/UX design, and social media content.

Primary Duties

• Develop visually appealing designs across digital channels such as websites, social media platforms, and online advertising.
• Create graphics and motion designs for digital videos and campaigns.
• Assist in designing user interfaces and user experiences for web and mobile applications.
• Produce engaging social media content that aligns with and strengthens brand identity.
• Work closely with senior designers and content teams to bring creative ideas to life.
• Participate in brainstorming and storyboarding sessions for video projects.
• Provide support to the broader creative team with various digital design responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Between one to two years of experience in a professional digital design role.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator; After Effects skills are an advantage.
• Experience with UI/UX design principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of creating digital content tailored for multiple platforms and formats.
• Strong awareness of current digital design trends and social media specifications.
• Experience designing responsive interfaces for both web and mobile environments.
• Ability to creatively work within brand guidelines while pushing visual boundaries.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.

Additional Useful Skills

• Motion graphics and animation expertise.
• Video editing proficiency with software such as Premiere Pro.
• Familiarity with 3D design tools.
• Experience in prototyping tools including Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Understanding of social media content strategies.
• Appreciation of digital marketing principles.
