Role Overview
As a Junior Construction Manager, you will support the expansion team by managing the planning and execution of new Burgermeister locations. Your involvement covers coordination with architects, general contractors, and authorities, ensuring projects meet schedules and maintain high quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing new Burgermeister venues.
- Coordinate construction projects alongside general contractors and external service providers.
- Review and process construction drawings and technical documents.
- Communicate effectively with landlords, authorities, technical planners, and suppliers.
- Support obtaining quotes and monitor costs and timelines.
- Document construction progress and prepare project records.
- Conduct regular site visits.
- Collaborate closely with the expansion team and other internal departments.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications
- Completed technical training such as construction draftsman, building technician, technical draftsman, or a similar qualification.
- Some professional experience in construction, interior finishing, or project management is beneficial.
- Proficient with technical drawings and construction plans.
- Organized and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach.
- Fluent German and English skills to support international collaboration.
- Willingness to travel within Germany.
Desirable Skills
- Basic experience in shop fitting, retail, or the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or comparable CAD software.
- Understanding of the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB) and relevant construction regulations.
- Experience with project management software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
