Role Purpose
We are seeking a Junior Automation / Mechatronic Engineer to contribute to the expansion of our automation systems within a rapidly growing manufacturing facility. This role is perfect for recent graduates with fundamentals in engineering, eager to explore new technologies and actively participate in automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the enhancement of automation systems, including integration with robotic controls, automated material handling, and RFID technologies.
- Utilize interdisciplinary engineering knowledge—mechanical, electronic, and software—to develop intelligent manufacturing solutions.
- Assist in the design and coding of computer-based control systems for production machinery.
- Create programming logic for automation equipment under guidance from senior engineers.
- Evaluate new mechatronic technologies and industrial equipment as part of the research process.
- Prepare and present technical updates during internal team and project meetings.
- Collaborate effectively with equipment suppliers and automation partners to strengthen system capabilities.
- Communicate technical information clearly across departments and to management.
- Engage in the full life cycle of automation projects—from requirements, design, implementation to testing and commissioning—with mentor support.
- Develop and maintain thorough technical documentation and user manuals.
- Work closely with Mechanical Design, Commissioning, and Electrical Engineering teams to ensure integrated solutions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Previous internship or placement experience in automation, robotics, or control systems advantageous but not mandatory.
- Understanding of industrial automation technologies such as PLCs, SCADA, and robotics is desirable.
- Familiarity or interest in PLC programming; training provided.
- Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems.
- Experience or willingness to learn programming languages like C#, Java, or Python.
- Awareness of industrial network architectures (e.g., Ethernet/IP, ControlNet) is a plus; training available.
