Job Overview

Endura Mining is embarking on an ambitious growth path, aiming to develop multiple gold and copper mining assets within the next year. As part of this vital phase, the company seeks a capable Jumbo Operator who can effectively manage jumbo rig operations, lead a small team, and ensure the safe execution of tasks at the mining site.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate jumbo rigs to install ground support consistent with the Ground Control Management Plan.
• Excavate development profiles to precise shapes adhering strictly to the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and related regulations.
• Provide expertise in installing and maintaining underground services, handling development charge-ups, and performing other assigned duties.
• Take on senior responsibilities within the underground mining team, ensuring effective communication across shifts and adherence to operational plans.
• Maintain compliance with environmental procedures and standards to protect the site surroundings.
• Promote a positive safety culture by leading hazard identification, reporting, and management practices.
• Complete all necessary documentation and paperwork as required by the site's policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety and environmental inspections and verification activities to uphold compliance standards.
• Undertake additional or alternative responsibilities appointed by the Mine Superintendent or Mining Manager.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• More than five years of hands-on experience operating jumbo rigs within tunnelling, metalliferous, or production mining setups.
• Relevant certification in Jumbo Operations.
• First Aid certification.
• Possession of a Full Manual Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
• Class 2 and 4 Driver's Licences or willingness to obtain them.
• Qualification in Wheels, Tracks, Rollers (WTR) or a readiness to acquire this credential. (WTR desirable)
