Jewellery Designer

Role Overview

We seek an innovative and meticulous Jewellery Designer with expertise in Mangalsutra chains, everyday chains, and rings. The role involves crafting new, market-friendly designs targeted at Indian and international export sectors.

Key Duties

• Develop original designs for Mangalsutra chains, gold chains, pendants, and rings using 18K, 22K, and 14K gold.
• Analyze fashion trends in India, Gulf countries, and the US, focusing on bridal and daily jewellery.
• Utilize CAD software such as Matrix, RhinoGold, or 3Design for precise technical drawings and 3D modeling.
• Collaborate with artisans to proceed with wax modeling, casting, and sample creation, ensuring feasibility of production.
• Create seasonal jewellery collections covering Wedding, Festive, Daily wear, and Minimal styles.
• Compile technical packs including bill of materials, weight calculations, and detailed stone-setting instructions for manufacturing.
• Interpret client briefs from sales and export teams to customize and tailor designs accordingly.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a diploma or degree in Jewellery Design, preferably from IIGJ, NIFT, or GIA.
• Minimum of 3 years experience designing gold jewellery with a strong portfolio emphasizing chains and rings.
• Proficient in industry-standard software tools: Matrix, RhinoGold, CorelDraw, Photoshop; hand-sketching abilities are advantageous.
• Familiar with gold weights, production costs, stone settings, and comprehensive Indian jewellery market knowledge.
• Demonstrate creativity, a keen sense of current trends, quick project turnaround, and capacity to meet strict deadlines.
