Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent technical support both in person and remotely for hardware, software, operating systems (Windows and macOS), and mobile devices.
- Handle the onboarding process by setting up, imaging, and deploying workstations for new hires, and manage secure asset reclamation and data wiping from departing employees.
- Maintain local IT infrastructure including server rooms and network closets; act as the on-site representative for remote Network and Systems administration teams to resolve issues with switches, routers, firewalls, and patch panels.
- Oversee and troubleshoot workplace collaboration technology such as Zoom Rooms, projectors, and audio devices in conference rooms.
- Maintain precise and current inventory records of local IT assets including laptops, monitors, peripherals, and software licenses; manage the local electronic waste disposal process.
- Use IT Service Management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) to document, track, and resolve requests ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate with local ISPs, hardware vendors, and building management to address internet disruptions, warranty and repair issues, and other facility-related IT operations.
Candidate Profile
- Requires a minimum of three years in desktop support, helpdesk, or technical field support roles.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, as well as macOS environments.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing hardware including laptops (Dell, Lenovo, Apple), printers, docking stations, and mobile devices.
- Basic networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and structured Ethernet cabling.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Active Directory, and Endpoint Management or Mobile Device Management tools such as Intune and Jamf.
- Strong interpersonal communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills; capable of maintaining professionalism and composure when assisting frustrated users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Modern Desktop Administrator, or Jamf Certified Technician.
- Experience providing IT support to executive or VIP-level personnel.
