Investment Intern

About the Role

The Investment Intern will play a supportive role within the investment team at August Global Partners, helping with meetings, research, due diligence, and financial analysis. This opportunity is ideal for university students pursuing studies in healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology, or related fields who have a strong interest in investment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist monitoring of global macroeconomic trends, financial market developments, and emerging healthcare sector innovations through various sources such as financial news, magazines, academic materials, reports from investees, sell-side analyses, and other publications.
• Contribute to due diligence processes by evaluating investment prospects, performing macroeconomic research, collecting and analyzing data, supporting financial model construction, and preparing presentation materials.
• Support ongoing tracking and analysis of portfolio investments by ensuring accurate data management and metric evaluations.

Candidate Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, or closely related disciplines; MBA candidates with healthcare-related undergraduate degrees are also encouraged to apply.
• Proficient with AI tools and Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; prior finance-related education or projects are advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and effective communication abilities.
• Capacity to multitask and execute additional assigned duties unrelated to investment or research as necessary.
