Position Overview
We are looking to recruit an Investment Banking Analyst who will play a key role on our team. This person will manage diverse responsibilities, engage directly with clients, and witness the tangible outcomes of their contributions. This role provides a hands-on opportunity to gain comprehensive insights into clients’ businesses by collaborating closely and participating in all stages of transactions.
Responsibilities
- Create presentations for prospects and clients, prepare financial models, and compile due diligence materials.
- Perform comprehensive industry, financial, and strategic assessments to support current and potential engagements.
- Conduct market and financial valuation analyses, including public comparables, precedent M&A, discounted cash flow and LBO modeling.
- Draft executive summaries, management presentations, and strategic marketing materials to assist client transaction initiatives.
- Support all facets of transaction execution and management beyond material creation, such as data room and due diligence assistance.
- Engage in business development activities, research, and attend industry conferences.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of one year full-time experience in Accounting/Financial Due Diligence, Valuation, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or related fields.
- Proficiency with essential industry tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and financial data sources.
- A strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with confidence in independently interacting with clients.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit, and resourceful approach to work.
- Genuine enthusiasm for learning investment banking, especially within the technology sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and effectiveness as a team player.
- Must be a U.S. resident or hold a valid work visa to work in the United States.
Additional Information
This is a two-year analyst position based at our Menlo Park, California office, emphasizing close collaboration with senior partners nationwide who maintain extensive global client networks. The analyst will engage immediately in live sell-side and buy-side deals, with potential for promotion to Associate roles and beyond.
