About the Role
CC&L Financial Group invites applications for a 4-month Intern Analyst position at Crestpoint Real Estate Investments Ltd., based in downtown Toronto. This role offers a stimulating and rapid-paced environment where you can gain comprehensive hands-on exposure to asset management within the real estate sector. You will work alongside professionals across asset management, investments, development, and ESG, contributing to various facets of property and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams including Asset Management, Investments, Development, and ESG to provide support and assistance.
- Help prepare property valuations and calculate investment returns, supporting both client-facing and internal reporting.
- Conduct financial analyses related to potential leases, cash flow forecasts, redevelopment ventures, and financing options.
- Participate in new acquisitions and disposals processes, including underwriting, due diligence, and drafting materials for Investment Committee and client presentations.
- Collect and analyze economic and market data relevant to the portfolio.
- Engage in ad hoc corporate projects and special assignments as required.
- Support Crestpoint's ESG initiative efforts within the organization.
Candidate Profile
- Undergraduate students in their third or fourth year, or MBA candidates, focusing on Real Estate, Commerce, or Finance.
- At least one prior internship or co-op in a related role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with ARGUS real estate software is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent financial acumen and analytical capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Genuine interest in real estate and associated industries.
Compensation and Additional Information
The position offers a base salary of $45,000 for the term, aligned with legislative requirements. Candidates are encouraged to address any questions regarding compensation to the HR team during the interview process.
