Role Overview
The Interiors Designer Level 2 is responsible for designing and preparing documentation across various project stages, including programming, survey, conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documentation, and administration phases. This position involves collaborative work with other studio members and mentorship from senior designers and architects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop initial design concepts and documentation, seeking team feedback.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Project Manager, Job Captain, and team regarding program, design, budget, and schedule to ensure timely and proper design progression.
- Create 3D studies, models, drawings, and renderings, providing direction to junior team members as needed.
- Assist in preparing presentations that effectively convey design concepts internally and to clients.
- Generate multiple design options under team guidance.
- Apply knowledge of building codes and technical standards relevant to projects.
- Implement RMW’s best practices, standard details, and forms consistently.
- Produce comprehensive design and construction documentation.
- Utilize RMW’s standardized templates, details, and forms in deliverables.
- Conduct research and evaluate materials, finishes, furniture, and building systems aligning with project objectives.
- Contribute to integrating building systems, structure, and technology requirements with team support.
- Oversee and coordinate consultant contributions during design phases.
- Develop drawing backgrounds to assist consultants.
- Support construction administration activities, including site observations, RFIs, and submittal reviews.

Qualifications
- Possession of a professional degree or an equivalent credential in architecture or interior design.
- Currently seeking or having obtained licensure or certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven ability to deliver sophisticated design solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on design, building systems, and materials.
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, rendering applications, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $90,000 per annum.
