Job Role and Responsibilities

The Interior Fit-Out Engineer, based full-time at the Dubai site, will be accountable for managing the technical delivery of interior fit-out projects from initial concept through to final completion. Responsibilities include scrutinizing design and shop drawings, liaising with designers, contractors, and suppliers, and ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and architectural components on-site. Key tasks involve overseeing project timelines, monitoring construction progress, performing quality inspections, and enforcing compliance with local construction codes, safety regulations, and client requirements. The role requires preparing detailed technical documentation, supervising installation procedures, promptly resolving engineering challenges encountered during implementation, and optimizing resource use to maximize cost savings and efficiency. Collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders is essential to ensure timely delivery of superior-quality interior environments within budgetary constraints.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience in interior fit-out or construction projects within commercial and/or residential settings, preferably in the UAE or broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for interpreting, adjusting, and coordinating technical and shop drawings.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, schedule, allocate resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders during fit-out projects.
• Abilities in research and development to assess new materials, innovative technologies, and methodologies aimed at enhancing project sustainability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Good understanding of local building regulations, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, alongside best practices specific to fit-out construction.
• Experience with software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent, coupled with strong skills in technical reporting and documentation.
• Capacity to work cooperatively within multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple concurrent projects, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced construction site settings.
