Impact Assessment Expert

Overview

We are seeking a proficient Arabic-speaking Impact Assessment Expert to join the Competitiveness and Economic Policies Sector. This role involves providing specialized expertise in evaluating economic impacts and enhancing competitiveness, devising annual work plans, and ensuring punctual execution of pivotal initiatives for stakeholders.

Key Duties

• Perform economic studies using sophisticated statistical approaches, econometric modeling, and data analysis to support informed decision-making processes.
• Assess the economic effects of government programs and initiatives, delivering actionable recommendations for their enhancement.
• Examine how policies and legislation influence business expenses, market operations, and investment appeal.
• Produce economic reports to detect deficiencies and prospects within the business environment and sectors targeted, analyzing fundamental causes of obstacles and aiding in policy formulation.
• Conduct international benchmarking research to incorporate global best practices suitable for the Emirate’s economic context.
• Engage actively with private sector and government bodies through consultations, surveys, and workshops, ensuring data accuracy and validity through coordination and analysis.
• Develop detailed analytical reports and presentations tailored for senior leaders and decision-makers.
• Create and apply comprehensive methodologies to evaluate the pre- and post-implementation impacts of government policies at both macroeconomic and sector-specific levels.
• Represent the unit at official events, professionally presenting analytical findings.
• Offer expertise in tracking the progress of recommendations related to competitiveness, preparing subsequent reports, and moderating review meetings.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as delegated by supervisors.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in economic impact evaluation of government initiatives.
• Expertise in economic modeling and econometric techniques.
• High-level capabilities in quantitative and qualitative data processing using modern analytical tools.
• Competency in benchmarking and best practice analyses.
• Skilled in preparing sophisticated executive reports and presentations.

Educational Background

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline.
• Preferred: Credentials such as Certified Management Consultant (CMC) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Experience

• Minimum eight years of professional experience post-bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated background in economic impact analyses, policy evaluation, data gathering, root cause analyses of business obstacles, and development of evidence-based strategic recommendations.

Language Proficiency

• Fluent Arabic (mandatory).
• Advanced English (mandatory).
