Job description
Position Overview
We seek a seasoned IBM DataPower Developer with over five years of direct experience in middleware and integration solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in IBM DataPower products, XSLT, web service technologies, and secure service integration strategies. The role involves designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing DataPower services within enterprise infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, configure, and maintain integration solutions leveraging IBM DataPower appliances.
- Develop transformation logic primarily using XSLT language.
- Engage with XML standards and protocols including XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, and RESTful services.
- Manage and configure DataPower service components such as Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy, and XML Firewall.
- Implement and administer security measures including OAuth frameworks, SSL/TLS encryption, and Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) policies.
- Diagnose and resolve integration-related issues, also focusing on optimizing performance of DataPower services.
- Work in collaboration with cross-functional development, integration, and technical teams to deliver scalable and dependable solutions.
- Demonstrate ability to function autonomously while thriving in a collaborative, high-velocity environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum five years of professional experience with IBM DataPower development technologies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and middleware integration principles.
- Proficiency in creating XSLT transformations.
- Strong familiarity with XML-related specifications including XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, and REST protocols.
- Practical experience with configuring DataPower components, including MPGW, Web Service Proxy, and XML Firewall.
- In-depth understanding of security technologies such as OAuth, SSL/TLS, and AAA.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, debugging aptitude, and capability in performance tuning DataPower services.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities complemented by effective communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving professional setting.
- Telecommunication industry experience advantageous.
- Experience with IBM API Connect or comparable API management tools is considered a plus.
