About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Hydrogeologist to join our expanding team located preferably in Auckland, with consideration for Hamilton for the right candidate. This position offers the chance to enhance your analytical abilities while working on a variety of community and infrastructure projects. As part of our National Environment Group, you'll collaborate within a lively, inclusive team focused on delivering significant projects throughout New Zealand. Our Hydrogeology & Water Sciences division is recognized for its cooperative culture and emphasis on employee wellbeing and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the provision of conceptual and technical hydrogeological services, prioritizing analytical modelling efforts.
  • Assist with environmental fieldwork including aquifer characterization and monitoring initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive technical reports, management plans, and strategic documents to support projects.
  • Work in partnership with a national network of experienced engineers and scientists to create practical and sustainable solutions.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a relevant tertiary education in Hydrogeology, Engineering, or Geosciences, with an MSc preferred.
  • Bring 3 to 7 years of professional experience in hydrogeology, environmental consultancy, or related fields.
  • Exhibit strong motivation to further develop technical expertise in hydrogeology and environmental sciences.
  • Have specialist experience in hydrogeology and familiarity with analytical modelling software.
  • Be experienced in conducting field investigations, interpreting data, and utilizing groundwater modelling techniques.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication abilities and collaborate effectively within teams and with external stakeholders.

Work Model
