Human Resources Generalist

Position Summary

Wheeler Staffing Partners is recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a direct hire, full-time role that is fully remote within the U.S. This position offers an annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 with a Monday to Friday work schedule. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and adeptly manage employee relations, compliance, and comprehensive recruiting duties across a geographically widespread workforce.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as a reliable Human Resources advisor for managers and employees operating remotely.
• Provide coaching to managers on employee relations issues such as attendance, performance, conduct, communication, and workplace concerns.
• Evaluate employee challenges and propose fair resolutions while ensuring consistent enforcement of company policies.
• Assist in performance management processes including coaching, documentation, corrective measures, and improvement plans.
• Maintain confidentiality while balancing employee advocacy with organizational goals.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and internal company policies.
• Help review and update employee handbooks, HR policies, and procedures.
• Support benefits administration activities including managing annual open enrollment and responding to employee inquiries.
• Keep accurate employee records and update job descriptions to reflect current business requirements.
• Oversee full-cycle recruiting for about three to four open positions concurrently; source, screen, and interview candidates.
• Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and other stakeholders and assist in offer preparation and hiring communication.
• Partner with hiring managers to identify recruitment needs and develop effective talent acquisition strategies.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements within HR operations and propose scalable improvements.
• Manage multiple projects effectively in a rapidly changing environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• Between 2 to 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
• Experience supporting remote or widely dispersed teams.
• Strong background in employee relations including coaching managers on workplace and performance issues.
• Knowledge of employment law compliance, HR policies, performance management, and benefits administration.
• Proficient in managing multiple recruiting requisitions simultaneously through full-cycle recruiting.
• Experience with HR information systems (HRIS); familiarity with Paylocity is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and independently make considered recommendations.
• Capable of adapting and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving procedures.
