House Manager

Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and reliable House Manager to supervise the overall functioning of a private household. The role involves comprehensive oversight of domestic staff, vendor relations, household assets, and daily household operations ensuring everything runs efficiently, discreetly, and seamlessly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage recruitment, training, and discipline of all household employees including housekeeping, cooks, drivers, and gardeners.
• Organize and coordinate daily cleaning, maintenance, and service schedules to uphold household standards.
• Negotiate with and supervise service providers and vendors to maintain quality and ensure timely delivery.
• Handle inventory control of groceries, supplies, and consumables, managing all purchasing and restocking activities.
• Oversee maintenance of property, appliances, assets, repair schedules, and Annual Maintenance Contracts.
• Manage household financial matters such as budgeting, bill payments, and monthly expense reporting.
• Arrange guest receptions, special events, and family occasions as needed.
• Act as liaison with family members to align household operations with their preferences and schedules.
• Ensure security measures, privacy, confidentiality, and safety protocols throughout the household.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and contingency plans for household management.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, staff absences, and unforeseen situations.
• Manage laundry, wardrobe organization, and vehicle upkeep, including driver coordination.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience as a House Manager or equivalent role.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities combined with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent discretion, professionalism, and integrity in handling confidential matters.
• Basic skills in budgeting and tracking household expenses.
• Comfort with technology; experience with smart home systems is advantageous.
• Preferably holds qualifications in hospitality or home management.
• Experience managing formal or high-net-worth households is a plus.
• Possession of a valid driver's license if driving responsibilities are anticipated.

Additional Information

• Salary: Up to 60,000 INR per month.
• Working Days and Hours: Monday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 8 PM.
• Employment Type: Permanent position with in-person work at the household in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
