Home Delivery Driver

Overview

We are seeking a Home Delivery Driver to join Iceland Foods at our Barnsley location. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy being active, value independence, and thrive on direct customer contact. Key Responsibilities

• Load delivery vans safely, including handling heavy items and using manual lifting techniques.
• Follow all safe driving procedures to ensure road safety.
• Conduct regular vehicle checks to maintain safety and operational standards.
• Deliver food items ensuring they arrive in optimal condition to customers.
• Provide outstanding customer service during all interactions.
• Assist in-store duties when necessary.
• Work independently while managing time and tasks efficiently.
• Be flexible with shift patterns which may range between 6am and 11pm.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold a full driving licence for at least three years, with no more than six penalty points.
• Display a positive, friendly attitude and a commitment to excellent customer experiences.
• Demonstrate punctuality and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Possess a strong understanding of road safety and safe driving practices.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage of 13.71.
