Hire Controller

About the Role

Join Speedy, one of the UK's premier providers for tool, specialist equipment, plant hire, and support services. As a Hire Controller based in Oxford, you will be a key part of our depot operations team, responsible for managing the complete hire process from order intake through to delivery and collection. Your role centers around building strong customer relationships and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

Work Schedule and Location

This is an onsite position at the Oxford depot, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00, totaling 42 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all stages of the hire process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of customer orders.
• Maintain constant communication with stock teams, drivers, and engineers to ensure equipment availability and minimal delays.
• Serve as the frontline liaison to uphold customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and problem-solving.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated strong organizational skills to manage multiple operational priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt within a dynamic operational environment.
• A commitment to personal development and learning.
• Possession of a valid driving license.
• Previous experience in the hire industry or in a related sales or operational role.
• Capability to support the business unit in delivering the company's ESG Strategy, "Decade to Deliver."
