Job description
Role Overview
The Healthcare Assistant plays a crucial support role in aiding Staff Nurses and Enrolled Nurses with nursing care for clients. This position is also responsible for ensuring the Senior Care Centre is a clean, secure, and comfortable environment for all residents.
Primary Duties
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of care delivered to residents.
- Respond to residents' needs and promptly communicate these to nursing staff.
- Maintain the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of senior residents.
- Assist in transferring and positioning residents who are non-ambulant.
- Support the execution of daily exercise routines for the residents.
- Help with meal and drink service, including feeding when necessary.
- Provide escort services for residents traveling between their homes and the care centre.
- Immediately inform the Centre Manager in case of any emergency scenarios.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a WSQ Healthcare certification or an equivalent credential is beneficial.
- Candidates must have completed full COVID-19 vaccination regimen.
