Position Overview
The Junior Professorship of Business Psychology at the School of Business, Economics and Society, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), invites applications for a Research Associate / Doctoral Researcher role (75%, TV-L E13). The fixed-term position of three years commences on 1 November 2026 and includes the possibility of pursuing a doctoral degree.
Project Background
This role is integral to the research project titled “The Virtual Grapevine: Informal Communication and Sensemaking in Virtual Teamwork,” generously supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants possess:
- A superior academic background with a Master’s degree or equivalent, primarily in industrial/organizational psychology or social psychology.
- Strong proficiency in statistics and empirical research methodologies, with a keen interest in innovative approaches beyond conventional surveys, including observational techniques and interaction analysis.
- Experience coupled with enthusiasm for scholarly writing.
- Fluency in both German and English languages.
- Preferably, expertise in intensive longitudinal research designs such as diary studies or experience-sampling methods.
