Key Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate category sourcing strategies to internal cross-functional teams.
• Conduct sourcing events to enhance competition, optimizing costs, quality, and supply assurance.
• Analyze and negotiate vendor proposals for new projects and convey award decisions effectively.
• Evaluate cost increase requests, minimizing them while assessing business impact.
• Perform detailed analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies.
• Oversee tooling costs from external suppliers and manage standard costs with internal collaboration.
• Extract and analyze data from business IT systems to support sourcing activities.
• Train or delegate tasks to temporary staff or associates when necessary.
• Support vendor onboarding, maintenance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and update vendor profiles and capabilities.
• Gather and follow up on RFQ information with vendors.
• Gain comprehensive knowledge of the Bath & Body Works vendor base and capabilities.
• Lead sourcing strategy analytical projects and support Value Engineering and other departmental initiatives.
• Participate in sourcing process improvement and standardization committees.
• Create and manage Individual Development Plans (IDP), Personal Performance Objectives (PPOs), quarterly connects, and performance reviews in line with company management cycles.
• Pursue continuous learning opportunities for personal development such as attending meetings, job shadowing, vendor visits, and commodity training.
• Engage in regular development meetings and team engagement initiatives based on internal surveys.
• Assist in training cross-functional partners and contribute to onboarding processes as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Purchasing, Operations Planning, Packaging/Supply Chain Engineering, or Strategic Sourcing roles.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical abilities.
• Solid financial understanding to evaluate situations using relevant financial metrics.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, completing tasks accurately and promptly.
• Proven negotiation skills leading to successful business outcomes.
• Decision-making skills with the capability to explain analytical reasoning clearly.
• Strong collaborative skills working effectively across teams.
• Self-driven, innovative problem-solving attitude.
• Ethical, honest, and professional conduct maintaining confidentiality.
• Willingness and ability to travel both within the US and internationally.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; relevant internships or leadership positions enhance candidacy.
• Prior experience in manufacturing and/or consumer goods or retail industries preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
