Role Overview

The Global Compensation Lead will spearhead the creation and implementation of worldwide total rewards initiatives, ensuring global scalability, local adaptability, and full adherence to corporate compensation principles and timelines. Acting as a core member of the Global Compensation team, this role collaborates closely with Total Rewards professionals and People & Culture partners across various regions to develop compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while maintaining compliance and financial responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver global compensation activities such as annual salary planning, incentives, long-term incentive plan (LTIP) benchmarking, pay governance, job architecture, and global pay programs.
  • Guarantee compensation approaches are scalable internationally, aligned with global strategies, and compliant with local laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with regional and country Total Rewards leaders and People & Culture partners to design compensation solutions balancing global consistency and local relevance.
  • Monitor and control global compensation costs to remain within budget and ensure cost-efficiency.
  • Develop global compensation strategies that support talent attraction, motivation, and retention while following established principles.
  • Identify improvements to simplify compensation processes and enhance user experience for managers and employees.
  • Support organizational transformations by aligning compensation frameworks post-merger and acquisition efforts.
  • Create clear, accessible communication and training materials to facilitate program uptake.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, pay equity considerations, and regulatory updates to optimize compensation programs.
  • Provide market intelligence and insights to Total Rewards and People & Culture partners about global and local trends and competitor practices.
  • Work alongside HRIS, Finance, and other teams to ensure streamlined, accurate, and efficient compensation system operations.
  • Promote excellence, data accuracy, and governance in all global compensation activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing global compensation programs within complex international organizations.
  • Proven capability in overseeing compensation-related expenses and aligning rewards strategies with financial objectives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international compensation standards, compliance, and market developments.
  • Strong leadership skills in cross-functional environments with excellent stakeholder management.
  • Strategic thinker with practical, solution-focused execution.
  • Exceptional communication skills capable of translating complex data to actionable business insights.
  • Competency with compensation management tools and HRIS platforms.
  • Experience in post-merger integration or organizational transformations is highly advantageous.
  • A global perspective with a commitment to designing inclusive and high-performance reward programs.
