Role Overview

The General Manager / Operations Director will serve as a full-time, on-site leader based in Ocala, responsible for managing daily operational activities, staff performance, and overall service delivery. This position ensures seamless rental processes, optimal fleet utilization, and smooth facility operations to enhance efficiency and the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations including rental workflows, maintenance scheduling, and facility management.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise team members while handling escalated customer concerns effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop and enforce operational policies and monitor performance metrics for continuous improvement.
• Manage budgets and allocate resources strategically to support profitability and business growth.
• Collaborate with company ownership on strategic planning and assist with local marketing efforts.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in operations management: process optimization, workflow design, and performance evaluation.
• Strong analytical capabilities for data interpretation, demand forecasting, and evidence-based decision making.
• Effective team leadership experience including staff supervision, coaching, scheduling, and conflict management.
• Budgeting proficiency for operating expenses control and financial performance oversight.
• Customer service skills that drive rental satisfaction and issue resolution.
• Background in transportation, automotive, or rental services and familiarity with electric vehicle technology is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and competency with business software and reporting tools.
• Preferred academic qualification is a bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or related fields, complemented by prior leadership roles focused on operations.
