The Greenfields Division

Greenfields represents one of BildGroup's most unique and commercially vital divisions. It is poised for significant expansion in line with the company's 2030 strategic objectives. The division is multifaceted, comprising four specialized service lines:

• BildUrban: Focuses on residential and commercial estate developments involving bulk earthworks, roads, drainage systems, retaining structures, and utility connections.
• BildSports: Dedicated to designing and constructing sporting facilities and surfaces for various sports including AFL, cricket, hockey, and athletics, working with government bodies, associations, schools, and clubs.
• BildLandscape: Handles open space construction projects such as parks, playgrounds, streetscapes, wetlands, and pump tracks, serving local governments and Tier 1 contractors.
• BildSpacial: Provides spatial data and land measurement services including cadastral, topographic, and construction surveys for both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving the strategic vision and managing full profit and loss accountability for the Greenfields division across Australia.
• Supporting each department manager to successfully lead their specific service line’s operations, client base, and commercial activities.
• Ensuring consistent, safe, and high-quality delivery across all four service lines to maintain and deepen long-term client relationships.
• Expanding the business pipeline through active business development, tendering, and client relationship management.
• Fostering team growth across diverse disciplines by adapting leadership styles to bring out peak performance from managers specialized in different areas.
• Contributing actively to the company-wide Executive team on matters of broader strategy, corporate culture, and commercial initiatives.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading a multi-disciplinary division or business unit in sectors such as civil infrastructure, urban development, sports facilities, landscaping, or surveying, or similar fields. They should be adept at supporting managers heading diverse operations without enforcing a uniform management style.

Strong commercial acumen paired with genuine client engagement is essential, with comfort navigating between budget management and client interactions. This role requires a leader who genuinely cares for their team, not just as a theoretical approach but demonstrated through effective leadership practices. A desire to contribute to the broader organization beyond their own division is also critical.

Relevant academic qualifications and professional industry memberships are advantageous. Practical experience spanning more than one Greenfields service line will enhance candidacy significantly.
