About the Role
Everlast Gyms is focused on helping members achieve more, with fitness spaces designed around community, performance, and a great member experience. In this role, cleanliness and safety are essential, and you will help maintain those standards across the facility.
As a General Assistant on the cleaning team, you will be responsible for keeping the gym environment fresh, sanitary, and welcoming. Your work will directly support member comfort, safety, and overall satisfaction.
This position is for 20 hours per week and suits someone who is dependable, detail-focused, and committed to making a positive impact.
What You Will Do
- Clean all key areas of the gym, including floors, equipment, studios, lockers, showers, and shared spaces.
- Disinfect and sanitise surfaces to maintain a healthy and safe setting.
- Remove waste, change bin liners, and follow correct disposal practices.
- Track cleaning supplies, restock when needed, and alert management when items are running low.
- Work collaboratively with the wider gym team to support a smooth member experience.
- Report any maintenance issues or repair needs without delay.
- Consistently follow the gym’s cleanliness and safety expectations.
About You
You should be able to work independently, manage your time well, and pay close attention to detail. Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is useful but not required, as training will be provided. You should also be comfortable with cleaning methods, hygiene practices, and safe use of chemicals, though training can support this where needed.
Because the gym operates during evenings and weekends, flexibility in working those hours is important. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are also valued.
