Position Overview
A reputable family in Aiken, SC, seeks a professional and dependable full-time nanny to provide dedicated care for their two boys aged 2 and 8. The household values structure, active engagement, and outdoor activities, with convenient access to schools, parks, and programs nearby. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, organized, proactive, and capable of taking initiative.
Work Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 11:45 am to 7-8 pm (end time may vary)
- Wednesday: 7:15 am to 6-7 pm
- Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, though hours may fluctuate based on school, seasonal activities, and family needs
- Flexibility is essential, including occasional travel with the family to a secondary residence located a few hours away
Core Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive child care: feeding, bathing, dressing, and supervision
- Manage school and activity transportation, including drop-offs and pickups
- Organize and implement age-appropriate activities that promote education, creativity, and outdoor play
- Assist with reading support and homework help
- Prepare light meals
- Handle family laundry and light housekeeping duties such as tidying spaces and maintaining the dishwasher
- Run errands including grocery shopping and coordinate outings and activities
- Note: Deep cleaning is not expected as a housekeeper attends 1-2 times weekly
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possess at least a college degree
- Minimum three years of childcare experience with multiple children
- Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record and access to a reliable personal vehicle
- Comfortable and experienced in driving children safely
- Must be a competent swimmer and able to supervise children in a pool
- Current CPR, First Aid, Tdap, and flu vaccinations are mandatory
- Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement and a no-phone-while-driving policy
- Non-smoker and no use of vaping products
- Comfortable with occasional overnight care and extended stays during parental travel
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive pay ranging from $28 to $30 per hour, paid through payroll
- Reimbursement for activities, outings, and mileage
- Two weeks of paid vacation, with 5 days coordinated with family schedule
- Paid major holidays falling on weekdays
