Full Stack Engineer - Qatar (Onsite)

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar for a one-year contract. The role involves managing and evolving an integrated enterprise platform incorporating CRM, project and financial workflows. This system is built on a SQL Server core with a Node.js/Express API, a React web interface, and a React Native mobile application, running entirely onsite within a secure Windows environment with no internet connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the enterprise platform including database schema evolution, API and frontend application enhancement, and deployment management.
• Ensure platform security through robust authentication, session management, role-based access control, and secure coding practices.
• Manage disciplined script-based deployments and Windows Server operations including service and scheduled task management without cloud CI/CD facilities.

Experience and Technical Expertise

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience designing, developing, and maintaining full stack applications from frontend to backend.
• Proficient with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, with strong skills in React 18 and TypeScript.
• Expertise in backend development using Node.js and Express, including production API development with database drivers (mssql or equivalent).
• Solid experience working with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including schema design, migration scripting, stored procedures, and views without using ORM or migration frameworks.
• Operational experience deploying and maintaining applications in an offline Windows environment, using PowerShell scripting and managing firewall settings.
• Understanding of application security, including token-based authentication, password hashing, cross-site scripting prevention, CORS policies, and secret management.
• Familiarity with RESTful API and GraphQL development, JSON handling, and integration with third-party systems.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines and containerization using Docker.

Educational Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

Additional Qualifications

• Comprehensive CV demonstrating years of experience and relevant certifications is necessary.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Backend skills including Node.js, Java, Python, C#, .NET, PHP, or similar server-side languages.
• Database competencies in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with API development including RESTful services and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Docker for deployment is an added advantage.
