About Propylon
Propylon is the Dublin-based content management division within RWS specializing in software solutions for legal and regulatory workflows. With over two decades of experience, Propylon assists governments, standards organizations, and regulated bodies in managing legislation, regulations, and legal content efficiently through modular, intelligent systems.
This role is part of the TimeArc Product Team, which develops Propylon’s flagship legislative and regulatory content management platform. TimeArc allows clients to create, manage, publish, and maintain complex legal and regulatory content at scale.

Role Overview
We are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to join the TimeArc Product Team. You will help expand the core product capabilities and assist with major client projects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in modern Python development, a deep understanding of its ecosystem and tools, and a commitment to building high-quality scalable software solutions. Engineers at Propylon play an active role in technical decisions, taking ownership of their designs and implementations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with technical leads to design application architecture frameworks.
- Develop custom integrations that connect existing systems with the TimeArc product suite.
- Lead backend software development efforts.
- Contribute to architectural and design choices for the product.
- Engage in code reviews and promote best engineering practices.
Requirements
- Solid expertise in Python programming, including its ecosystem and idioms.
- A minimum of three years professional experience using a Python MVC framework, preferably Django.
- Proficiency in developing APIs using REST, GraphQL, RPC, or equivalent protocols.
- Strong familiarity with SQL relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with advanced Python features like type hinting, asynchronous programming, and data classes.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with experience in cross-functional teamwork.
Additional Desired Skills
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React.
- Skills in XML processing and transformation.
- Background in document management or document workflow software.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline construction.
