Formulation Technician

Position Overview

The Formulation Technician plays a vital role in creating value-added products within a tightly controlled manufacturing environment. This role involves collaborating closely with various departments such as Research & Development, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, as well as engaging with customers and suppliers when necessary regarding quality concerns. This position reports directly to the Processing Lead and requires adherence to restricted access security protocols.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage the formulation of infused products in the laboratory, ensuring proper procedures are followed efficiently and maintaining a clean, orderly workspace.
• Implement and oversee the operations and processes related to product formulation within the processing facility.
• Ensure the quality of the products throughout processing, adhering strictly to legal, regulatory, administrative, policy, and procedural standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures meticulously during all formulation and processing activities.
• Clean and prepare formulation equipment and supplies for reuse efficiently.
• Conduct formulation, processing, packaging, and labeling tasks for derivative products.
• Perform validation and stability studies, analyze resulting data, and produce comprehensive reports.
• Follow all waste management policies to guarantee proper disposal of materials.
• Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the facility and all equipment within assigned areas.
• Monitor and maintain formulation equipment and supplies, keeping inventory updated and communicating supply needs to management timely.
• Report any issues related to source materials used in formulation to management promptly.
• Stay knowledgeable about a variety of extraction and processing methods including solvent extraction, non-solvent extraction, and derivative product manufacturing techniques.
• Accurately complete manufacturing batch records following good documentation practices and log processing data thoroughly.
• Undertake any additional tasks as assigned.
