Flagger I

Overview

Join Star Construction LLC as a Flagger, where your primary role will be to ensure the safe movement of traffic in and around active construction zones. This position involves assisting with traffic control and flagging tasks to protect both the public and worksite personnel.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic near worksites using hand signals and paddles to maintain safety and order.
• Set up and prepare flags, cones, signs, and markers to delineate safe travel areas.
• Assist in general construction tasks as assigned by a Foreman or Supervisor.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly, adhering strictly to safe driving policies.
• Comply with local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform duties in various weather conditions as required.
• Complete additional tasks as delegated by management.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Possession of a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Holds a valid state driver's license (not provisional) with an acceptable driving record.
• Prior experience with flagging preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements and Conditions

• Frequently work independently in remote areas, operate vehicles, and perform motions such as squeezing, bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting 10 to 25 pounds, and fine motor tasks like keyboard and mouse use.
• Occasionally perform tasks requiring lifting 26 to 55 pounds, working with arms elevated above shoulder level, and climbing stairs.
