Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-premise Firefighter position based in Ahmedabad. The role requires responding promptly to fire alarms and emergency situations, carrying out fire suppression, rescue operations, providing basic first aid, and aiding in evacuations of patients, staff, and visitors as needed.

Key Duties

• Respond to fire emergencies and alarms efficiently.
• Perform fire suppression and rescue tasks.
• Provide basic first aid and CPR as required.
• Assist in evacuations during emergencies to ensure safety of all individuals.
• Regular inspection and upkeep of firefighting equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections throughout the facility.
• Participate actively in fire drills and training sessions.
• Support fire prevention efforts within the organization.
• Educate staff on emergency response procedures and fire safety.
• Collaborate with local emergency agencies to maintain a secure environment.

Candidate Qualifications

• Proven skills in emergency response including fire suppression, rescue work, and basic first aid/CPR.
• Familiarity with fire safety laws, evacuation protocols, and firefighting tools.
• Ability to stay composed under stress, make swift decisions, and operate effectively in dangerous scenarios.
• Physical fitness and endurance to conduct rigorous physical activities like lifting, climbing, and long hours of standing.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities to coordinate with healthcare personnel and emergency responders.
• Previous experience in firefighting, emergency response, or comparable roles is strongly preferred.
• Relevant certifications or training in firefighting, emergency management, or safety are advantageous.
• Flexibility to work shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays as per operational requirements.
