Financial Crime Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a Financial Crime Analyst to join our Sydney CBD team on a six-month fixed term contract, with a potential extension to twelve months. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will examine suspicious activities and transaction monitoring alerts within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You will apply critical thinking and sound judgment to assess financial crime risks, generate well-supported decisions, and maintain compliance standards. Collaborative teamwork and continuous learning are vital as you support operations in shielding customers and communities from financial threats.

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Fraud, Investigations, Risk Management, or Compliance. Experience drafting Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) is essential. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, effective written communication, and the capacity to prioritize competing tasks under deadlines are required. A genuine dedication to quality, compliance, and ethical conduct is critical.

Work Setup

Initially, you will undergo onboarding and training full-time at our Sydney CBD office. Upon successful completion, the role transitions to hybrid working with three days in-office and two days remote per week.
