Overview
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to manage and supervise our financial operations, aiming to support sustained business growth. This role encompasses financial planning, budgeting, consolidation, analysis and reporting, alongside making strategic decisions to guide senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial accounting and reporting processes ensuring alignment with local and company policies.
- Prepare monthly reports, annual budgets, and statutory financial statements at year-end.
- Maintain precise and reconciled general ledger accounts each month with accurate accruals and prepayments.
- Ensure compliance with local VAT, tax regulations, and government reporting requirements.
- Offer impartial and authoritative strategic financial advice to management on performance metrics.
- Evaluate acquisition opportunities including financial valuation and due diligence.
- Analyze cash flows and forecast financial trends specifically within the Saudi Arabian market.
- Assess changes in financial performance and provide recommendations accordingly.
- Develop long-term strategic business plans for operations in KSA.
- Handle timely investigation and resolution of insurance provider remittance issues in line with company policies.
- Conduct research and report on factors affecting business performance.
- Review processes to identify cost-saving and efficiency enhancement opportunities.
- Produce accurate financial reports via OneStream global reporting system within set deadlines.
- Stay updated on evolving financial laws and regulations applicable in operating countries.
- Possess comprehensive understanding of international accounting standards including IFRS and their business applications.
- Continuously seek to enhance current financial practices and make improvement proposals to the CFO.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are preferred.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years progressive experience in financial management, ideally within the insurance sector.
- Experience in corporate finance or transaction advisory services is desirable.
- Strong grasp of financial management principles, accounting standards, and industry-specific regulations.
- Proven expertise in financial data analysis, modeling, and strategic business planning.
- Working knowledge of Praktora and advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros).
- Excellent analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Effective leadership and communication skills with persuasive influence across organizational levels.
- Demonstrated high ethical standards and confidentiality in professional conduct.
