About the Role
An expanding private equity-backed international firm is in search of a Financial Controller to assume a pivotal leadership position within its finance department. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role involves hands-on leadership responsibilities within a dynamic and commercially driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the month-end closing process, delivering precise and prompt monthly management accounts along with annual statutory accounts, complemented by comprehensive variance analyses.
- Drive ongoing enhancements in finance-related systems, processes, and internal controls, emphasizing automation and operational efficiency.
- Oversee daily cash management and forecasting activities, ensuring robust controls over payments, bank reconciliations, and working capital management.
- Collaborate closely with the CFO on board reporting, budgeting, forecasting, finance transformation initiatives, and crucial business projects.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to foster high performance, accountability, and continual development.
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations including VAT, PAYE/PRSI, Corporation Tax, statutory reporting obligations, and the annual audit process.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant with preference for those trained in practice, possessing over five years of post-qualification experience in a fast-moving commercial environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing, developing, and inspiring finance teams.
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities paired with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving and process optimization.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with various business units, investors, and external advisors.
- Well-organized, capable of juggling multiple priorities and meeting demanding deadlines effectively.
Compensation and Work Arrangement
The position offers a salary of €105,000 annually along with additional benefits. The role supports a hybrid working model.
