About the Role
The Bureau of Meteorology is recruiting a dedicated and proactive Finance Officer to join our finance team based in Darwin, Northern Territory. This position plays a vital role in delivering financial and administrative support to various internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
The Finance Officer will be involved in diverse financial operations including processing accounts payable and receivable, managing purchasing card reconciliations, and coordinating travel finance activities. The role requires adaptability to ongoing changes and a commitment to enhancing financial services by promoting streamlined procure-to-pay procedures and accurate invoicing for customers.
Requirements and Skills
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Commonwealth financial management, particularly the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act of 2013. Experience with SAP and SAP Concur financial platforms, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, is highly valued to effectively manage resources within a government context.
