Finance Industrial Trainee

About the Role

Puma, a globally renowned sports lifestyle brand, seeks a Finance Industrial Trainee to join its fast-paced finance team. This role provides hands-on exposure to finance functions influencing product, retail, and brand decisions both in India and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for the Indian business operations.
• Assist with budgeting processes, forecasting, and variance analysis to monitor performance across various product categories and online channels.
• Contribute to the preparation of management-level reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and Puma's global finance policies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, perform reconciliations, and handle transaction processing.
• Engage in inventory accounting, cost assessments, and reviews of standard costing related to apparel and footwear.
• Prepare necessary documentation and schedules for statutory and internal audits.
• Collaborate with sales, supply chain, and brand teams to collect data and enhance processes.
• Support special finance projects as designated by leadership.

Candidate Profile

• Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) with eligibility for industrial training per ICAI guidelines.
• Strong academic achievements and solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Proficient with MS Excel; familiarity with SAP ERP systems is advantageous.
• Sharp analytical skills paired with clear and confident communication.
• Self-motivated, capable of thriving in a fast-evolving brand environment.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.

Educational Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or any discipline diploma.
• Postgraduate candidate pursuing CA, either first or second attempt.
