Job description
Job Summary
We are in search of a driven FPGA Design Engineer to join our team focusing on the creation of advanced AI platforms utilizing AMD FPGA and SoC technologies. This position involves contributing to innovative projects that combine hardware acceleration with artificial intelligence, including machine learning, computer vision, and high-performance video processing. Collaboration with various teams and suppliers to develop state-of-the-art FPGA solutions is fundamental, alongside continuous exploration of emerging AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete FPGA design cycle including simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closure for AMD FPGA and SoC AI platforms.
- Manage FPGA projects across areas such as machine learning, computer vision, video coding, and high-speed data transmission.
- Investigate and incorporate new technologies to enhance next-generation AI development.
- Work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of reliable FPGA-based systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Practical experience or academic expertise in FPGA design, whether in independent applications or embedded software.
- Strong familiarity with standard SoC communication protocols including PCIe, DDR, I2C, SPI, RS232, MDIO, and MIPI.
- Competence with AMD Vivado IDE tools covering synthesis, simulation, placement, routing, and timing closure.
- Knowledge of the Vitis software framework is a beneficial advantage.
- Experience handling debugging instruments like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers is valuable.
- Capability to operate autonomously, resolve issues efficiently, and embrace new challenges.
- A genuine interest in learning and applying emerging technologies in FPGA and AI fields.
- Strong teamwork orientation with proactive problem-solving abilities.
