About CBS International Business School
CBS International Business School is a state-recognized private institution offering predominantly English-language academic programs with an international focus. It provides a broad range of Bachelor's, Master's, and MBA courses and is one of the pioneers of bachelor's studies in Germany.
Program Overview
The Studienkolleg Prep4University (P4U) is CBS's state-approved university preparatory program designed for international students who do not meet direct university admission standards in Germany. The program delivers intensive language training, academic and cultural preparation to enable successful higher education access.
Position Summary
Starting Winter Semester 2026, CBS is seeking freelance English lecturers to join the Prep4University department. The role involves supporting international students by teaching English as a foreign language and preparing them for academic success in German higher education.
Responsibilities
- Conduct English language instruction tailored for non-native speakers.
- Prepare, administer, and grade course examinations, including the final "Feststellungsprüfung" assessment.
Requirements
- Master's degree, preferably in English Studies, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, or an allied subject.
- Strong command of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- Advanced pedagogical and methodological skills to develop engaging, effective educational experiences.
- Multiple years of experience teaching English as a foreign language, ideally at higher education or academic settings.
- Familiarity with the German education system is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Intercultural competence and enthusiasm for working in diverse international teams.
- Experience with digital instruction and willingness to teach in digital and hybrid formats.
