English Language Expert

Role Overview

This remote contractor position is centered on improving AI-generated English content. You will assess model outputs, compare multiple responses, and create or refine language examples that help train AI systems to produce clearer, more accurate, and more natural-sounding English. The work is hourly and fully remote.

The company is an AI data services provider that supplies training data to major AI organizations and foundation-model labs. Your language expertise will contribute directly to making AI responses more precise, better reasoned, and easier to understand.

There is no active project attached to this role at the moment. If you are a strong fit, you may be contacted first when relevant assignments become available, and you may also gain access to future opportunities through the expert network.

What You Will Do

• Review AI-written English answers and judge them for accuracy, clarity, and how well they follow the prompt.
• Spot issues such as weak logic, incorrect meaning, flawed methods, or gaps in understanding.
• Fact-check content when required and correct any unsupported or inaccurate statements.
• Write strong explanations and improved versions that show the correct approach step by step.
• Score and compare multiple AI outputs based on correctness, reasoning strength, and overall quality.
• Create detailed prompts on different topics and produce responses that help train AI models effectively.
• Check AI systems for mistakes or bias and verify that results are dependable across different use cases.

Required Profile

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, English, Translation/Localization, Communications, Journalism, or a similar discipline.
• Excellent English ability, with C2 or native-level skills preferred and at least C1 proficiency required.
• Additional language ability is a plus, especially professional fluency in one more language.
• Strong command of grammar, sentence structure, meaning, discourse flow, and style across different writing formats.
• Sharp attention to detail, especially when identifying ambiguity, subtle errors, or shifts in meaning.
• Confidence in applying style rules and keeping terminology, tone, punctuation, and capitalization consistent.
• Ability to work independently, meet quality expectations, and collaborate effectively in a remote hourly contractor setup across time zones.
• Experience in AI data training, annotation, editorial quality assurance, localization QA, or professional copyediting is highly desirable.
• Practical experience with tools such as Perplexity, Gemini, ChatGPT, and similar platforms.

Additional Information

This is an hourly remote contract role. Although no immediate assignment is available, qualified candidates may be considered first for upcoming projects and future expert-network opportunities.
